Summary

Important: These pages describe how Recensa is intended to work and how we handle data. They are not a substitute for legal advice. Ask qualified counsel to review them before you rely on them for compliance, customer contracts, or regulatory filings.

Agreement

Acceptance

By accessing or using Recensa, including the marketing site and the in-browser app, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

Service

What Recensa provides

Recensa provides AI-assisted document assurance, issue-led proof checks, redline-style analysis, and—where your plan and settings allow—source-grounded corrected outputs, summaries, issue lists, proof reports, and related artifacts. Features may change over time. Descriptions on the site or in the app are not a warranty of future availability.

Advice

No professional advice

Recensa is not a law firm and does not provide legal, financial, medical, tax, compliance, or other professional advice. Use of Recensa does not create an attorney-client relationship or any other privileged relationship. Generated content may be incomplete, inaccurate, biased, or unsuitable for your situation. You are responsible for review, judgment, and final use of all outputs. Where stakes are high, consult a qualified professional.

Your responsibilities

Your responsibilities

  • You represent that you have the rights and authority needed to upload and process your documents.
  • You will not upload unlawful content or use Recensa to violate others' rights.
  • You will verify outputs before filing, publishing, signing, or otherwise relying on them.
  • You will not attempt to abuse, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or circumvent usage limits or billing.
  • You will not upload malware or content designed to harm the service or others.

License to us

Your content and our license to operate

You retain ownership of your documents. You grant Recensa and its subprocessors a limited license to host, process, transmit, display, and create derivative outputs solely to provide the service you request, including sending content to AI and cloud providers as described in the Privacy Policy and Data security pages.

Cloud

Google Drive and other integrations

Optional integrations, such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or Microsoft OneDrive, operate when you choose to connect or select files. Those providers impose their own terms. Recensa may import selected files and save new outputs when you direct it to.

Billing

Subscriptions and payment

Some features may be limited on free plans and expanded on paid plans. Payments and subscriptions may be processed by Stripe. Stripe hosts payment checkout and processes payment information according to its own terms and policies. Pricing, entitlements, and plan names may change; when they do, we will rely on the billing portal and in-product notices where available. Refund and cancellation rules follow Stripe and the terms presented at purchase unless we publish a different written policy for your account.

Acceptable use

Acceptable use

In addition to the rules above, you agree not to:

  • Use Recensa in violation of applicable law or third-party platform rules.
  • Misrepresent outputs as human-written or guaranteed correct when they are not.
  • Probe or attack our systems, or interfere with other users.

AI limits

AI limitations

Outputs can contain errors. Formatting, layout, citations, and cross-references may not match your original perfectly, especially for PDF or long documents. Fix mode on PDF may produce Word-oriented outputs rather than a pixel-perfect edited PDF. Always verify the final file you intend to file, publish, or sign.

Availability

Availability and changes

We strive for reliable operation but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with or without notice where permitted by law.

Warranties

Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties such as merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Liability

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recensa and its suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100), except where prohibited by law.

Termination

Suspension

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk, or must comply with law.

Updates

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the updated “Last updated” date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent allowed by law.
